I want the Sony video recorder (DCR-TRV320E Digital 8) video on the PC host, which I readily available on DVD in a normal DVD-quality film can burn.
I have Windows Movie Maker and Adobe Premiere 6 Le. Under the format, both programs offer, I find no "DVD" format.

Hello!
Premiere 6 Le knows no DVD format. Except that it is synonymous only to a reduced functionality version (LE), the software is synonymous already a few years old. DVD was - I believe - only 6.5 SV. Movie Maker on the other hand, knows the DVD format. In Vista of home and xp as an upgrade for.

The normal procedure is this: you transfer the movie via Firewire to the editing program (will be saved DV-AVI) and then editing it as desired. Only then you walk the finished movie into a DVD compatible MPEG2 format, which you then make a DVD s.Ende (authoring).
Converting MPEG2, you can do with external software, such as with
QuEnc (Freeware).

Komfortabler geht das alles natürlich, wenn Du ein modernes Editing program benutzt, das den DVD-Export schon eingebaut hat. Für Deinen Zweck reicht z.
