So I wanted a couple of cassettes of my HV20 to my laptop, but when I at Premiere CS3 will go on record "recorder can not be activated and should be back.". If I then settings at the source of change and then back to DV, I can imagine to control the camcorder but still can not absorb.
Now I would like to know what you used to the video on the PC. The best any freeware. Have unfortunately not synonymous with the included software, since I'm currently untwerwegs (s.meinem PC I never had problems with the transmission).
If anyone knows the problem and a solution synonymous know I would s.glücklichsten. Did the suggested solutions of Adobe do not really understand.

HP in the registry, the HV20 to my firewire port is displayed so well they seem to be recognized (makes synonymous connect the ton when I turn on)

try HDVSplit. Thus, it should work in any case, if your system recognizes the device.
Possibly. you still need to install FFDShow. The programs are freeware. Just google.

'm on the lookout for matching contributions to your problem. Have recently launched a HV 30, which is technically, but in fact not of your HV 20 differs. Also my editing program (Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 Pros) wants my camcorder absolutely do not recognize, although it from Windows Device Manager is detected. After initial anger, I tried it successfully with HDV Split - quite easily! Can not explain it to me, but this freeware program works well!
