Frage von baharbara:Hello together,
I have a Panasonic Palmcorder VHS-C Movie Camera NV-S5.
The device is intended for at least 12 years old.
I wanted to dub the movies on my iMac and burn to DVD.
Unfortunately I have no idea exactly what I need s.Hardware and s.Software and how should I proceed.
Can someone help me?
Thanks in advance!

So a digital connection that will probably have little, which Geröt.
So get TV card, or something else with Video - In and capture analog.

For action: You shut the camera, as I said, s.eine TV / video card or an external A / D converter via Firewire s.and captures your movies as DV. Subsequently, the material is normally processed.
I like this because a part that calls itself "Formac TV Studio", with a tuner and firewire (in Finalcut Direct with "non-taxable unit" in iMovie spontaneously recognized). This I believe now cost ¬ 190. If, like me has digitized all the old VHS-ham for use as a VCR, and thus there is no need to ask lots of the parts in ebay almost new one (which I was just too lazy). There, I bought it synonymous, for 120 ¬.
It is synonymous older versions without tuners, which are expected to go out at ¬ 100.
Then there are the similarly priced mounted "Dazzle Hollywood Bridge", a typical optical PC scrap and safely without drivers for OSX, but that would be at Firewire yes no preference (as long as one does not need a TV function).
