Frage von Auf Achse:Hello!
The 50D my wife has this problem: the search cut-out and the shot still image are offset vertically and do not match. In still image is in the upper region to see much more image detail than is the case through the viewfinder.
Is it possible to adjust the menu itself or does it only in the Canon service?
Thanks and regards,

A look through the menu ...
... otherwise no, perhaps this is a case for the Canon repair service.

A look through the menu .... Is not my camera and I wanted to save me the Rumsucherei if perhaps anyone knows ....

The behavior in this series is absolutely normal and also to see it at the 550D as well. We have several such cameras and have since been synonymous puzzled, because all these models have exactly the same vertical offset.

Hello!
Thanks for the feedback! Even if "normal" seems it's still very annoying if the image still looks different than it was up to. The offset is at least 10%.
I will sit down with the Canon Service for me and seek their views.

The feedback of Canon I'd be interested synonymous. The displacement of 10%, I can confirm (with three cameras).

On my 40D songwriter similar if not synonymous as pronounced, they are on all sides a little something to even see above the screen a trace is not a 100% viewfinder, like the professional models.
...... Is (for me) is not disruptive, would cut off a bit stupid
Can my old Nikon F2 s.meine remember with its 100% viewfinder, always was annoying when the pictures were less developed paper (eg heads cut off) because of the aspect ratio of negative-differential format to paper format.
Many complaints, "but you'll see on the negative side of the head is not cut off, why on paper picture?"
Antwort von Auf Achse:
I tried it myself, in the upper part is an offset of about 10%. So not only 10% moved s.Picture, but after 10% down. Acts in this case, cut off heads against, but is still annoying when each Still Image and the framing is no longer what the bottom is cut off.
I give notice that Canon says it.

Probably say that is normal and in the price range to expect otherwise, with external viewfinder which then may be better! Under the motto "see what you get"!
Antwort von deti:
... with external viewfinder which then may be better! Click here to go to the viewfinder and not about what you see on the screen in Live View mode. The screen shows contents of course, the correct picture.

This is an age-old problem of Prism seekers! Was synonymous already the case with a Reflecta 22 years ago!
Is synonymous with my EOS20 so!
