Frage von ultrus:Hello,
stand just before the decision myself a Mac in conjunction with FinalCut Studio2 zuzulegen. Have so far worked on a PC.
Since the whole applications (After Effects, Motion, FinalCut, etc.) are very hungry GPU, I wonder just what I MAC should moderate growth.
My current versions are:
1) 24zoll-imac a bit aufgepimpt to 3GB of RAM and a great graphics card. Monitor will already synonymous with synonymous with and looks good ...
--- Actually favorite. Whether I have the graphics card is probably the last question
2) aufgepimpter used Powermac. To 2.7 GHz, RAM properly, 512er graphics card ...
--- whether the new software is really the old Macs still running around?
3) a zurechtkonfigurierter MacPro with all the extras
--- Only "Ouch" ... wirds just really expensive !!!!<
Can I say something to someone or working with one of the 3 versions and has experience?
That would be super!
Gruss, the Ultrus

Honestly? The PPC Macs are constantly worthless. Sure are still good and sowas. But not for the future.
For serious work with FC Studio 2 is definitely below:
Mac Pro: 8 cores, X1900, 4 GB. Or according to claim an iMac.
But I do so synonymous stuff and sometimes I could Kotzen. Paying the top price and working properly. The time I stressed before his lame, sit renderndem Calculator, save du synonymous And I have an Intel iMac 20 "with 2 GB. Unfortunately, I am using Motion and Final Cut Pro from pretty - HD, complex 3D compositing, animation and that you need just power.
No. 3 GB in the iMac. This is slower than 2 GB, because there is no longer possible interleaving. This is something like a shortcoming of the used Intel motherboards.

Final Cut Studio running on the G5 Nooch very good, but should know that the following versions are more and more on intel build. so if you really want a work effectively s.geeignsten mac pro, but not necessarily take appleanita RAM, apple is notorious for überteurerte RAM prices, and it should now synonymous already 3rd party ram for the mac pros give.
I am just on my G5, that there is a 5599-frame renders guy, it takes me too long.
Antwort von ultrus:
Somehow, it is clearly synonymous.
With his old G5 does not know whether tomorrow is compatible ..
The iMAC is limited and performance is not synonymous expandable.
With the MacPro I just had a new device that I can be retrofitted as synonymous.
And I by 8-core will still take a distance, because it probably for the extra charge is not the huge performance brings (MacUp wurd in 07/07 tested).
So many thanks for your stats.
Has me in the guide very helpful ;-)

I am planning my MacBook Pro to buy. Well, more accurately, I have fixed it before. (Not least because of my studies starting soon).
The new MBP should be the requirements for HD, 3D compositing, etc. suffice, right?
Antwort von PowerMac:
Yes ...
