Infoseite // What hard drive you need for intermediate codecs? (RAID needed?)

Hello.
in my company we want to capture video (AVCHD, FullHD, 1080i @ 50Hz) into an intermediate format (Cineform Prospect HD) to convert. According to my knowledge, this is an I-frame format, we should be good for the post in Premiere suitable.
I have gels, that the output format is quite large and you need fast disks. Is a moderate rene S-ATA disk, or you have to / should be urgently a RAID-Verbund with two disks to use?

what is with you a modern SATA hard drive because in numbers?
Is it enough if I have a external USB-connected?
I would s.meinem Notbook work with CS3. Sufficient for a fluid workflow with Premiere an external USB disk 2.5 "or 3.5" with 7200 rpm?
Is a 2.5 "USB disk for editing of HDV material, ie without editing native Intermediate

Via USB it will be tight. You have 15 MB / s. A stream is still going, two perhaps synonymous, three is not. Two are scarce. Clean the work is not.

Huh? What good is because a supderschnelle access time when you runterbremst USB? The plate can be loaded via turbo, but then when it rings on the wire goes, it's gone. The 10,000 or 15,000 Seagate bring only what you like in internal construction, and all via USB or Firewire is no longer the record the limitation in the data, but the USB or FireWire interface ....
