Frage von Flohri:Hi,
I have recently read is to bring in a video magazine that although the nonlinear editing systems do not directly support 64 bit yet, it (for the particular workflow with HDV yet) a lot.
I have the following system:
AMD Dual-Core (4200 +, 2.2 Ghz)
3 Gb RAM
Asus Board
Have your experiences with one (example) 64-bit Windows-based xp?
I would be delighted if you would post here your Erfagrungen.
Antwort von TheDrummer:
Hi!
easier said 64bit means that - if everything has been designed (HW & SW) - the CPU can read 8 bytes of a memory (RAM or HD) at a time.
(32bit: only 4 bytes)
Thus, the "Capture takes" of the data to the CPU is only half as long as with a 32bit architecture?
understandable?
