The Cokin Z filters are used as a 4x4 filter.

If you really want to save guck mal nach "Cokin P". They are the filter holder can be screwed in front of the lens. However, if you have rubbish ne Mattebox. For ne 7D, with little budget but ok.
You need aufjedenfall ND filter for the 7D. Durm not you come around. Purchase as different sizes, to combine. What exactly can I say ... do not be nciht 7D xD.
MFG

The Cokin P filter are too small for a 4x4 Matte Box.
ND filters are available in the steps of 2x, 4x, 8x

In my cam, I knew three filter strengths ... how many degrees are there? A normal ND filter set consists of ND 0.3/0.6/0.9/1.2, each one each aperture filter absorbs light.
In everyday life we call the filter, but simply ND3/6/9 and 1.2, with a real ND3.0 filter aperture 10 would swallow light.
The Genant Cokin Filters are a little odd layout, but will probably take more s.Licht a 3 / 4 Aperture.
If you already have a 4x4 filter, the Compendium of Cinecity are certainly not bad buy.
But doing so you should always keep in mind, the coming of the really good filter, Tiffen, format or tailor.
Besides, it can still be s.einem ND0.9 color distortions that you get, however, will only help IR-cut filter or the expensive HotMirros ND filter. This infrared problems arise at the RED One, EX1 / 3, F23/F35 synonymous and can occur with D5/D7.
Of the Cokin filters, I can only advise that the filter made of plastic and scratch easily.
