Hello,
I am a totally inexperienced, professional foreign film enthusiast (the only experience of working s.zwei 5min movie advertising), but have over time a few ideas for small film projects are collected, which I would like to implement. In addition, I would like to synonymous sports from rock climbing and skiing to make. For these application areas do I search for a camera.
The budget is 1500 ¬
My previous considerations after (hopefully thorough) reading of the forum:
In my search have HC1, HC3, (UX1E) and GS500 were identified as candidates, but all with swabs.
HDV: The Choice is reflected in discussion forums around the back: It would be great to have HDV, synonymous to the movies on a larger canvas (Bollywood here I come!) Show them.
miniDV, DVD: Definitely miniDV, I like the UX1E but otherwise very good.
AV-In: I'd like the option of using a finger-Cam adapter (for skiing and climbing recordings)
Manual settings: I would like a focus ring (it is perhaps only a personal feeling, but the idea with the Touch Screen to work, I'm not really excited).
Size: Bigger than the above Cams Cam should not be, because I take a lot of the Cam wants to spontaneously rotate (FX1, etc. is too big).
Audio: Yeah, I little thought, since movies with sound for sometime later on the agenda. However, I would here like to keep options open (active footwear, etc. As I said, I do not know)
price: if my budget of a little bit what's left, I'm not unhappy ... ;-)
For the Choice means:
GS500: no HDV, no AV-In
UX1E: DVD instead of miniDV
HC3: No Focus ring
HC1: costliest Cam
Probably I have about 1000 points are not considered.
About one or the other thought I would be happy

HC1: Cam expensive, no AV-In I got the HC-3 and have been synonymous like a helmet camera for the above-mentioned purposes.
For me there are two alternatives: a cheap MiniDV or a
digital recording device with Mpeg4

HC1: costliest Cam When I consider Your Listing, cut me out the HC1. If the only disadvantage of the higher price compared to other models, giving you just what you get for you and whether it is worth it. After all, it is an HDV device, has a focus ring and is not on a distribution medium. ;-)
Other hand, you do not need HDV device when you connect a helmet camera, helmet camera because what already supplies HD Resolution?
price: if my budget of a little bit what's left, I'm not unhappy ... ;-) ... namely the purchase of the approximately 1000 other important things like camera bag, video tripod, extra microphone, UV filter as lens protection, ...

Hi!
Depending on your right you can once synonymous Watch the Canon HV10 - the picture quality is probably actually the best in this price class, it has AV-in and take on mini-DV on.
However, there are some disadvantages synonymous, depending on exactly what you did before, no preference or as a KO-criterion:
- Form
- Ergononmie
- Hardly professional features
- No connection for an external Micro
- According to "Video Active" easy drive noise
Even a small comment - I have no knowledge of your camera above an AV-in port.
