Frage von reraweinstadt:Hello film specialists
Which DVD player do I need mine s.PC edited videos with the extension "mpg", can read.
On my PC to run my film processed properly, but my current DVD player brings the error message "UNKNOWN".
It says in the description of the Philips DVD player # DCP3005: Plays all formats
Movies: DVD, DVD + R / RW, DVD-R/RW, (S) VCD
Music: CD, CD-R/RW and MP3-CD
Photos: Picture CD (jpeg)
Excluded from jpeg-file extensions is nothing to read.
I have my movies burned onto DVD + R / 4.7 GB.
So what should I look at the purchase that the mpg file extensions are recognized?
Thank you for your answers in advance

So MPEG-2 can in fact read any DVD player, since it is simply and movingly, the only format that can read each and every player
needs. MPEG-2 is the DVD standard.
I suspect the error rather in creating the DVDs.

Hello!
It is not enough simply an MPEG-2 file to copy to a DVD. You need a DVD authoring program creates the video from the video objects (VOB, multiplexed video - subtitles and audio files).

All play MPEG 1 / 2, JPEG, MP3, WMA
and MPEG 4 (DivX v3.x, v4.x, v5.x, XviD)
directly off of dvds or cds http://www3.atelco.de/8ArEsvNuzT_Jet/2/articlelist.jsp?agid=513
Antwort von Jan:
MPEG 2 DVD camcorders have been modified so that you are especially in VR mode, not of command accepts all the players, not synonymous with Finalizieren. That should not be the case of Phillips, rather cheap in supermarket equipment.

I'm including son cheap thing, what is called Daytek 707 (then 49 ¬). He can play rough synonymous MPG data, without which they were placed in a proper video DVD format. But there you go s.besten times in Saturn or something. As a rule, which stands for the components in determining whether they can.

Can Hogar,
I had only formatted a customer with a SonyDVD - Holiday movie filmed - unknown supermarket player - VR mode - because you can then delete individual scenes-and there was no direct way to Urlausfilme on their DVD player to make visible - these VR mode of Canon / Pana / Sony really is not taking in all.
She was older and did not synonymous to buy anything or convert other DVD players, which SonyDVD had just sold again ....

directly off of dvds or cds I have such a thing. Play is possible, but sometimes the wrong aspect ratio (not recordings vsbei 16:9) and synonymous or there were some problems. Behind the MPG file extension can be so much to hide (resolutions, aspect ratios, frame rates, data rates, GOP structures ...).
In the long term only helps authoring.
