With a DV camera (even with a professional 3CCD cam) you'll never be able to make clean Bluecscreen Effects!
This is s.der bad 4:2:0 compression.
The only way to produce really good keys to a 4:4:4 (HAD) camera with an RGB frame grabber used on component.
I had the same problem as you, after a long search, I then found a great solution.

because you are right, but the Resolutionbeziehe not (only) in general to the video image, but in particular Resolutionder Color in relation to the brightness.
DV is 4:2:0-compressed, making the Resolutionder Color Info is only 25% of video resolution. Higher-quality video formats with 4:2:2-Farbsampling (eg DVCPro50, DigiBeta) provide the Blue Boxing is already significantly better results since they only reduce the color to 50% of video resolution.
The ultimate optimum is very expensive video systems, the color does not actually reduce, ie, every pixel color associated with the store (4:4:4-Farbsampling).
If the budget is not big enough, I would take entirely from Chromakey distance and watch me Lumakey closer. The latter has the advantage that video recordings of all the above systems can be equally well gekeyt.
