Hello,

I have before me a new FW card to buy (PCI).
Did someone good (or bad synonymous) experience with FW card? Are there differences in what the sound and picture quality is concerned?

I need a 400Mbit / s.

Good experience as Firewire constant-speed data transfer guaranteed.

My oldest PC had only USB 1.1, leading to several GB of data on an external hard drivers several venture was. The calculator was subsequently released a new FW card and gifts from the backup now takes only a few minutes. ;-)

I assume, however, that Du (synonymous) something else entirely wanted to know. In this case synonymous schau mal hier:

Thanks for the answer, but I wanted something really different knowledge.
I wanted to know if anyone experiences with certain FW-cards-made models.

Honestly, I have never been so precisely because it respected. OHCI compliant should be IEEE1394a (Firewire-400), 6-pin and 4-pin connections. Those were my requirements.

The current PCI cards, I have all in a local computer store bought, home built and ready. Whether in the course of the months were different cards, I can not say with certainty. Or let's amateurish: Two cards were red, I think one was green. ;-)

As you can ever think about what you are connecting. A single external hard drive can be 800 Mbit / s not ausreizen.

Thus there is no misunderstanding arises: Firewire-800 creates a constant 800 Mbit / s, but none I know of (standard) hard drive is fast enough for these demanding performance synonymous.

With a raid or a PC networking via Firewire, the reserve has more sense. :-)

FW-800 is about 3x as fast as high-speed USB.
