Frage von josp:Hello,
have unfortunately not yet HDV Cam, so the question:
If I with a HDV Cam film as HDV and then start the camera but say that I as the material to the DV Calculator wants to spend - then my HDV format right and left raised to DV format? Or is it a broad DV format?
If it raises: What do I do then with the recording? Can I have since left and right group to a bar?
Gruss

I do not know how it is with the smaller HDVs or non-Sony cameras, but the duo FX1/Z1 makes it so.
If you HDV on the tape did, you have to choose between two DV in letterbox format (4:3 with Black bars above and below) and anamorphic widescreen DV (4:3 comes with egg heads). It therefore remains for a picture in 16:9 format.
The Z1 (the FX1 does not), the Picture synonymous to 4:3 trim. Ie s.linken and right edge of the picture, the image information is lost. On Firewire output is then synonymous normal 4:3 - DV s.and You need no bars left and right.
