first of all please excuse my ignorance because I am newbie in video editing.

With the help of "Ulead Video Studio 11" I imported the *. VOB files and converted them into a *. avi file to. Thus, I can with the material Premiere CS3 very kompfortabel cut.
Until here everything works synonymous! At the end I would like to but a movie of one hour and 30 minutes. Fits on a DVD but only 1 hour on it. How do I do now s.besten? I burn my DVD's always with the "Ulead Video Studio 11". Sure, I could a double layer DVD but there are other ways synonymous?

mfg convert your movie in order to mpeg2, then it fits loosely on a dvd.

So I do not seriously believe that Premiere does not really import the mpeg2 should dominate. Perhaps it is not with "open" but with "import". Do you have any DVD player software installed? Windows XP will not mpeg2 codec with. Without this, it is not.
