Hello,
I have a DVD camcorder of Panasonic. Which type of DVD (see above) is right for me? I want a movie with a camcorder and record it later in an editing program of Ulead (VideoStudio 10) edit. For a DVD-RW may still exist between the video format and the VR format can be distinguished.
Is for later editing a DVD-type with a certain format or preferred plays in the import and subsequent editing in Ulead does not matter. About an answer I would be delighted.

As always: depends.
Do you want as quickly as possible a disc in hand, you (or relatives / clients) in their hands and can play DVD-R (not finalize forget).
If you want to edit s.PC:-RW or RAM. What you take depends of your PC and your desired working practices.
If you take the data from the camcorder via USB to your PC, send want: DVD-RAM - which is somewhat more robust and can tolerate more Lösch-/Schreibvorgänge.
If you take the disc from the camcorder and rausnehmen on a PC drive will capture, it's what's on, what your drives can read. DVD-RW can, in principle, all (weak old drives do here but enjoy synonymous difficulties), DVD-RAM can only read a few. If you have Nero on your calculator you should synonymous you a program called "Nero Info Tool can do. That tells you reasonably reliable, what your drives can be.
If you are not directly on discs' nem player like you can with DVD-RW in VR mode, possibly a touch more quality rausholen - they are not on the data rate of the video DVD of 9.8 Mbps fixed. (Whether and how significantly the use of the camcorder, is the other issue. And better than with 'its DVD-RAM, which is always in VR-mode recording, it's not the case.) VR mode, but not of each program accepts, it's like when Magix Deluxe. How it behaves in Ulead, I can not tell you now. Magix For example, the VOB files obligation VRO files (VR mode) do not go to import.
The video mode (VOB) but in the Camera again quite different disadvantages, eg it can not delete individual scenes (no preference whether DVD-RW choice) and cut or playlists to be created. Man, I must decide what you want more.

I will probably be with the DVD-RAM attempt since the post with me in the foreground. On my external drive (my Notbook takes the DVD's are not small) is playing no problem.

As I said with Magix but you have bad RAM cards with DVD choice. How it looks like Ulead probably can not say Slashcam as it seems ....
