Hello my dears,
I have a big problem. I have bought for our Canada holiday ... a Mini DV Cam of Samsung (; increased VP-D371W PAL) and synonymous 5 videos rotated there.
Now I want to dub them via firewire to my laptop with the help of
Exsate DV Capture Live.
The problem ... the more I play the video, the worse the sound quality. We can now hardly understand what all that's left is cut off .. the picture, however, as it was ... good.
At the time I bought TDK Mini DV 60th
Can anyone tell me what the reason may lie and whether one can do something there. It would be sooooo sad when now all the videos would be useless ....... that would be really sh ....!

... Very calm. As long as you do not delete your tapes, your shots can not synonymous "unusable".
"Exsate DV Capture Live" I do not know.
If it's supplied with the camcorder was, you can's probably better to just throw in the trash ...
Get you a decent capture (program, possibly in the Slashcam freeware database), or better yet a useful editing program, with which you can capture your material synonymous.
To try it you can take even the usual "suspects" only once to download a free trial versions, eg
Edius Neo (;... my favorite, but not exactly for beginners)
Sony Vegas Movie Studio, or whatever else that crawls ever so aufm market and pfleucht (Corel Video Studio, Magix, Pinnacle, etc.)
With each of which should easily capture your videos to work and cut.

What I find just as funny, synonymous when I look in the video camcorder, the sound is very modest ... we mean nothing more to rattle. Picture has been said without loss. Can there possibly be s.den cassettes or s.Camcorders? Then I let it erstmal with the camcorder and send it for repair.
I sowas synonymous never heard the tapes but must last longer ... I would have bought but merely an HD device .. then I would probably not have these problems now

The data on the tapes are probably in order. Guess the speaker is in your Camkorders Grüze.
I used tapes for years to archive, I would not do if they were so bad.
Onist when the Picture is synonymous to the sound on the tape ok, because there are only data on the tape and not film analog signal.
So, tape into the PC games, you'll see it's all still there!

I would suggest you the following:
1. (; like the outposts have already explained): use a decent capture program;
2. If your camera has a headphone jack, playing off the tape and the sound Take control! Problems are synonymous to listen through the headphone output, then it looks bad.
3. If you have the opportunity to try the tape on another mini-DV Cam (play, colleague or so). Synonymous to the problem occurs there, then I do not think that there is still save something.
4. Make a new test shot with the action. There remains the problem?
Hope you have luck and it is really only s.deiner Cam.

yes, I will definitely try once. I then give notice, how it went .. must rumfragen erstmal ... who has a MiniDV.

Have you in your Canada vacation possibly filmed under rather "extreme" conditions? So perhaps in very dusty areas or in extreme temperatures, no preference whether hot or cold, or high humidity? Then the head drum may have suffered.
Or do you have after and during the leave, an employee ever been in the camcorder tape, which is synonymous not good for the head drum?
Then could possibly synonymous (a cleaning tape remedy, if not just the head was dirty after the first tape ...)
The fact that the camcorder is faulty after only a few bands, if not exactly synonymous was expensive, it should not really tend to be the case as long as he does not fall down or permanently wallowed in the mud "was.
So as I said, maybe it works with a cleaning cartridge.

Only so ne idea: Could it be that you do when you play something like audio dubbing? Mach doch mal rein write protection for the tape during playback.
