After I read a lot here, although still a
Question.
I want to make me a system for capturing DV to a second HD.
However, it should already be XP and not Windows 2000 or is it better?
Should it contain Sp1 if it is XP? Or just completely "naked".

If this system is intended to serve only one purpose and that it will therefore be integrated into your network never and never and never and never will be traveling on the Internet, then I would put it with XP and uploading again, and never never SP2.
However, if your so that you would like this system, synonymous with the Internet be on the road, the problem with XP/SP2/Firewire want to avoid but I can at present only a cleanly installed and maintained with security patches recommended W2K with SP4.
The others may look different, but maybe are not as paranoid as I am :-)
