Hello!
I'm in for 2 weeks on a movie date abroad. Now I just put down the the Macbook Pro (2009 model) has no normal Firewire port connection. So far, I needed this not synonymous.
Can someone tell me what kind of cable between the MacBook Pro and the Canon XH-A1 is compatible?
Then there are FireWire 400 cable, but synonymous Firewire 400 to 600 adapter.
Perhaps there is someone here uses the forum of a similar / same hardware combination?

In this case, you need an adapter cable as the simplest way of this same nine-pole to the FireWire 800 jack on the MBP - for example this:
