it helps me but nothing to write it here but I would be interested if you've had such a problem before, and I just wanted to tell you about it:
3 weeks ago I was on a 2-Weekly Rotary in Turkey .. My Cam: XH-A1. Now, we are then synonymous mobile than EB team been on the road during an interview and suddenly breaks the front bracket from the wrist strap. My luck was that I was always the camera with his left hand in front s.Lens think, otherwise the part would probably now in 1000 pieces.
I then with a cable tie the strap attached to s.Tragegriff can continue but at least am very surprised that something like this can happen at all.
A camera is for me a sanctuary, and accordingly I adjust to the fact synonymous, ie, improper handling can have played no role.
Canon says they can get a material error, etc. not imagine they have very strict quality control (; what I always synonymous) thought. I have to ding and then you can send in now (talking about a goodwill solution, although Rep. costs just 120 Euros but naja eh ..)
If this happens you ever taken a Canon product? (; I want to buy in a year and a bigger cam that I do not want such a thing happening again)

Of course, this was a material error, what else? I do not synonymous think you can rule out with a quality control that sowas happen again.
It's a Canon-specific problem, I do not believe synonymous. At best, a lack of grace could be in this case a Canon-specific problem. I keep my fingers crossed that Canon is understandable, especially since the damage is indeed holds, thanks to your response within limits.
