Hello
I am just a XL1S by Tripod on the floor like a stone. The Lens is canceled, the bayonet is still at the Camera. From the small wires in Lens, with whom probably Aperture / AF etc. is transmitted, there are two off.
The bayonet, I have solved the optical camera seems otherwise fine. At the function, I have not yet tested.
How should I proceed now? Lens for Canon repair after sending?
Is there a way a kind of circuit to get where you can see which cable s.welchen contact should be soldered?
If you are synonymous, the standard lens of the XL1S did, it would be awfully nice if it screws s.Bajonett opens and of the cable guide, a stop could make image!
And otherwise: Loan which can quickly create a new lens or a whole XL1S available?

Seems still good times to be gone. Quick with Canon's service technicians and associate the sequence of wiring can durchgeben and then with a fine soldering iron to solder on. Then toothpick tip into the threaded holes and stuck bolt again.

This "breaking point" is really interesting. Does seem that the screws in a plastic base are screwed, which would otherwise hardly kicked out. If I had not thought of.
Incidentally, should the threads of the screws not be tapered (which I suspect) then the "anchors" method obviously useless. In this case, a sending of the lens for repair almost unavoidable, unless you use Loctite on the screws or fixation UHU-Pros endfest 300 to the final and irrevocable fixing of bayonets

Two days in a row several people ahead of me where dirt in a new lens for DSLR Cams was ... Editing the Canon service only if you have a picture on the disc brings you see the error.
From my own experience with the bad service not to mention (XL1 fetched from the service and after 5 minutes Shooting total failure because of polluted minds, allegedly at the service not be foreseen).

Of course, it is no error and synonymous no coincidence that the screws exactly s.der body are torn. How stupid are the Canon engineers now synonymous not.
Most owners of camcorders with interchangeable lenses have only one way, Lens and so will the whole thing rather pointless, because the risk of pollution of the sensor when herausnehmenden games with one lens is already considerable.

That's me too little scattering when s.zwei days customers with the same problem before I turn (brand new lens with dirt in it), and to my camera so modestly maintained that s.nächsten day after 5 minutes so the heads are Camera that the service is denied.
And the rudeness of the grain when it is on Canon grace is so gracious and free the minds "intensively" cleans ... so why was the camera then ever at the service if not a complete maintenance included with the unit to clean or at least to say that the heads are no longer in the best condition (which can be seen that a proper maintenance).

The toothpick, I would leave it out.
I would like from the building two-component resin pick in each hole a drop, the Bajonet it again and turn the screws only, while the Bajonet and firmly press down until the screws rotate but not pure tighten. After the resins harden the screws back out, with a 0.3 to 0.5 mm drill bit (need to see what times in the holes fit the new thread without damaging) the hole half a millimeter deep drilling (possibly with vacuum cleaner s.der Page that Spähne not fall into the lens).
