I have the AKG C 1000 S in which I would plug in the near future probably often a Sennheiser XLR-G3 transmitter. But like the connection I did not, which is only stuck and the station could in my opinion relatively easily fall out below. XLR connectors are plugged in fact the norm? I can not imagine, as is present on the channel even such a screw-nut.
No matter what you would do to secure, at least not how it works.

XLR is always set, but locked in by a barb. The screw s.Aufstecksender determines only the position of the barb, so it comes to lock or not. This barb should actually synonymous in the XLR-Male ignite a AKG microphone its effect.

The connection of AKG's fine, but the G3 transmitter has no latch, which clicks into place and be resolved by single button can. Do not know what Sennheiser has thought it. The transmitter can be pushed out easily and readily synonymous. Since it is missing something.
Addendum: now I get it, as the transmitter is fixed. The mini-jack from the G3 transmitter is extended by removing the nut and until such time as they bomb-proof locks on AKG ;-)

You just said that the nut determines the position to stop. The catch is the G3 transmitter but not at all under spring pressure, but is extended through the nut only.
Probably once a case with me, where I have not read the instructions carefully enough.
But still many thanks, without more detailed employment with the matter, I would probably fallen out of the station several times :-)
Works but synonymous only now, after getting the O-ring was removed from the thread because the channel had previously not plug in so far that the catch could reach at all.

So for all who use the Sennheiser plug-on transmitter: there is no latch, which of itself engages with an audible sound. The catch is tenths of a millimeter as extended by the silent approach of the nut s.das Micro. But works only if the transmitter can plug the extent that the TRS has any chance to get behind the Arretierkante the XLR jack.

Have only now understood that neither the 3.5 mm mini-jack or the XLR connector Sennheiser equivalent of the known standards.
Mini-jack with screw terminals (never seen before) and at a special XLR-extendable and lockable latch (= barbs).
In Sennheisermanual is only the following: "Screw the mechanical lock in the direction of the arrow down.
Who thinks the fact that this can lead to a bomb-proof connection with the Micro, but not via a screw (as in the mini-jack), but through a special mechanism of the movement including locking latch.
Well at least I am glad that I have raised this issue here and I will probably never rausflutschen the transmitter. Has paid off, when knowledge was synonymous only possible self-taught.
