Frage von Dietmar Fleischer:Hello knows,
someone experiences a XM2 with an infrared headlight device? If yes, what about then? There are no NIGHTSHOT impressive, but would like to allow such a thing.
Thanks for your hints.

Hi Dietmar,
The XM2 is a three-chip camcorder. Because a prism through the Lens incident light into three spectral red-green-blue divide and to initiate appropriate sensors, infrared light, but at an angle is broken, with which it meets any of the sensors will give you an IR spotlight with this Camera bring nothing. This is synonymous to the reason why the Canon XM2 no NightShot mode spendier could.
Your idea is good, but it works only with single chip camcorders. They have that in normal operation, an IR blocking filter in the light path, for the Nightshotfunktion is folded.
IR headlights are of Sony's done:

or, really powerful, for monitoring purposes:

Zeig 'doch mal images of your headlights when it is finished.
