my question is whether it is allowed to chose to cover songs instrumental.
So yes Youtube writes:
Videos of artists are currently covers, the titles may only be in our affiliate program, if the artist has acquired the full rights for the synchronization and performance. Cover version titles are performances of songs, which previously have been recorded of any other person or marketed commercially. For more information, please see our help article.
How is it then, but with the pure instrumental covers?
