Mini_DV wants me a camcorder to buy.
Can I use an existing zoom lens with 37mm thread connection
using an adapter s.dem new camcorder to use if this one filter diameter is smaller than 37mm?

Hi,
You certainly ask for a
lens / converter (the Lenses are all camcorders up in all regions of higher price fix installed and not changeable).
The question is: is there an appropriate adapter ring? If yes: in the shop to try the ring with Camera and / or lens. Even and especially in the wide area to try! Sometimes there's shading and / or creepy blurred edges in the image, then re-buy. And with the money not be spaaaasam!

Yes, but check the additional lens ushinsichtlich his Durchzoombarkeit. Each ring alters the properties of the optical system.

Search times for e-Bay after the Raynox HD-5050 intent. The 37mm has access. S.GS180 I'm super happy with. Full zoomfähig, 62mm filter thread for Fulterer or hood.

... geh times with the camera to a dealer of your choice and try that. Keyword: vignetting in the corners at full wide-angle setting, etc. Randunschärfen

Have older Raynox HD-5005 on the GS400 and am super happy.
Shading does not exist. Randunschärfen not. Sharpness is slightly. If only p.37 "Television can be seen.
But you must not be synonymous for 100 Euro, 1000 Euro quality expected.
