PS've tried many others. with the tool marks left in a form level with no success .... Öhm, nö tip: Photoshop forget shit, forget about everything, re-think & learn to read manual.
Short version of the solution: Duplicate layer (level select, then Edit -> Duplicate) and color-corrected with the desired effect, masks to draw level in order to isolate areas.
