Frage von kolesia:I would like to see a new PC put together and would like to know what editing programs support the following?
- Vista 64bit
- Quad Processors
I have currently VDL 2007/08 7.0.3.1 Pros
Or not worth Quad Processor (Q6700 or Q9550), but extends dual (E8500)?
Antwort von kolesia:
if no reply comes, you have to write themselves :-) The new version (15) of Magixs VDL supports quad. So I decided synonymous for Quad.
Antwort von wolfgang:
Quad are of and Canopus Edius Neo, Premiere CS3, Vegas Pro and Vegas Movie Studio 8 Platinum supports - and I guess times synonymous of Pinnacle Studio 12 +. This is not unusual anymore.
With 64bit you have to distinguish whether Programs run under Vista 64, or as 64-bit applications available. And 64-bit applications are still hardly what - a Vegas version has been announced for some time, but is synonymous come much later than originally thought.
Antwort von dvcut:
The actual problem lies but in the OS, XP and Vista 32nd Who, for example, a Core4 or Core8 system operates is the long term not a 64bit version around.
Antwort von wolfgang:
Only what you use Vista 64/XP 64, if you do not have 64bit editing program?
Antwort von dvcut:
Since we are now all in agreement.

Support means in the event that multiple cores are used?
For the preview or just for your final render? (the rendering is less of a problem).
I was quite disappointed that Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 Pros (Trial - it's on it? I guess not) for the preview of HDV material only a core auslastet (screenshots in his previous post - you can see quite clearly that a core 'broke' lies - the quad is not likely to be different).
MSP8 When I thought I had, it would s.Alter the software, but not even the new-at least of Ulead benefit of more cores.
Perhaps we could have a thread with collective experience reports or makes an editorial article drüber - I fänd for the election of a new NLE s.interessantesten at the moment.
Antwort von wolfgang:
Primary, one sees the high utilization when rendering - which is synonymous is important, because the rendering is not forever should last. When you preview the load is much lower - and although in all programs I know. Especially for AVC would be a higher utilization is desirable, but this is probably the architecture of the system, which no longer permits.
But in HDV, it should already be better than just a key - that would be yes 25% over all 4 cores, and that's enough.
Nevertheless, it would be nice to know slowly, if a 64bit application on a 64 bit OS really fundamental advantage.

Previewing a 3 way color correction under WinVista 32 bit .... with 100% CPU utilization. Where is the problem?
Antwort von dvcut:
What CPU and GPU do you have currently in use?
Antwort von Jörg:
What CPU and GPU do you have currently in use? if you mean me:
6600 OC quad @ 3700, 8800GTS 512
Antwort von dvcut:
In short yes CS4 comes with Vista64 support, then a comparison would surely be worthwhile.

Previewing a 3 way color correction under WinVista 32 bit .... with 100% CPU utilization. Where is the problem? Jörg, Jörg, read it out accurately. I spoke of the
preview, which you even quoted me of unread, and then post you a picture of
rendering. Because I had to render in any words:
Primary, one sees the high utilization when rendering And do not worry, this premiere is already ok. It's just absolutely nothing new that when rendering the 4 cores will be busy - this makes good premiere, which makes Edius better than Premiere, which is worse than Vegas premiere.
In short yes CS4 comes with Vista64 support, then a comparison would surely be worthwhile. Definitely, although it could be much, whether the application is a 64 bit application, or whether it only runs under Vista 64. We will appear to the CS4 version deutschprachigen certainly synonymous Vegas as a 64 bit application that angenkündigt is yes since forever, then the comparison is certainly more rewarding. I do not know whether you are in Grass Valley chose that Edius 5 Now a 64-bit application will be - or only under Vista 64 will run. We will see.

That is the utilization rate for the preview (on the left just like that, right with color correction).
This is only superficially low - in fact, only one core is used.
Antwort von wolfgang:
Quite so low it must not be newer products weigh maybe 65-70% of a quad, in the 1920s with preview AVCHD.
Antwort von Jörg:
In fact, Wolfgang is right .... there is slipped into the wrong picture, you must always carefully at the pictures .... read sloppy of me, sorry.
The control of the preview screens with data have no greater than 64% utilization revealed.
Antwort von dvcut:
Next week the IBC, there is a press release of Thomson. We are all very excited.
Antwort von wolfgang:
Yes, Sony is synonymous of Amsterdam in probably hear what ... Grass Valley where I insoferne exciting find, because you probably have the new, upcoming Edius 5 What should hear. And perhaps synonymous times what their hardware cards.
