would be nice if someone could help me with the following issues:
- I have a menu (normal jpeg image, inserted in photoshop and this plane is converted to buttons) and would like to characterize selected buttons with one adjacent home-made symbol. which means that this button is next to the selected symbol (eg an arrow) appear.
With a simple rectangle is the whole, but when I take a more complex picture, such as arrow one, this arrow is just as white surface, shown without the "texture".
deshlab I would like to know how I get the original image as a subpicture, without coloring.

Subpictures nunmal are monochrome.
With a real picture that is only possible on a solution with multiple menus. (but is not necessarily synonymous, as desired)

but another problem:
