Hi you guys from the film world, here ne little question.
I recently had the DVD-creation program, Encore DVD 1.5 fond of, when I had almost thrown my computer out the window wegem the other program, PINNACLE 9.1, because this shit just did not work, no preference.
Here's my question:
I made a DVD in Encore DVD, chapter menus, etc. .. Now the Project is 30 GB big. 30GB! That can certainly be nich. Now, where I could the quality of the videos and then adjust so that the maximum of 4.7 GB DVD is great!

every film title in the project window right mouse button -> transcode -> and here is either auto or a directly specified template ..
then it should work out ..
tell me you've got the whole avis encore, or are simply dragged into your mpeg so big? then I'd not recommend a further compression ..

yes, I pulled into avis program. that with the transcode I've tried, but was unfortunately nich.

well, basically if it were better anyway, even if the dvd-files were ready, you s.besten codierst your avis first ... then gehts synonymous with tmpeg in encore without problems ..

@ Funky: how great is because instant the entire length of all your AVIs added up what you ultimately want to pack this DVD?
too much about 2 - 2.5 hours of video in reasonably good quality you'll usually not in a self-burned single-layer DVD. wenns longer needs to be, then the compression is so great that the image quality begins to suffer extreme way!
@ matthew: I'm here another opinion: I think it's clever cut from the program an optimal AVI (ie without generating recompress or something ...) to. as a kind of "father" of the whole project (this of course only works if you have enough harddisk-space) to store the AVI. then when you go all transcodierenden and Encore DVD to DVD burning AVIs just put the program will automatically make sure that everything is perfectly square. ie: it will compress all just as much as necessary, so that even fit on the disc. transcode the external compression is possibly more than is necessary, or are set too low, and the project is larger than 4.7GB.

I must respeak;
if you know exactly what is on the disc, then you can using the bitrate calculator calculate perfectly.
Also, I find that my ProCoder much better (but certainly synonymous even faster data) encoded in mpeg.
during my last production, only 16 were left MB, and when everything was perfect einkaluliert, synonymous the videos in the menus, etc. ..
I think we shall have better results in any case.

back again to the point.

Now, I just wanted the project to export views as though it was 30GB. (Just look at times)
then said to me, but the program that he can not transcode xxx.avi since 2.2 mb / s has or something.
Then I looked again and saw in the Project for which it is actually 2.2 mb / s. I put this subsequent xxx.avi, exported it again in the Premiere Pro and loaded it again in the encore dvd.
juhu was 8.6 mb / s. I was happy until I have made this a schnittenster because it was automatsich 2.2 mb / s up again!
Question: Why? And what should I do so that it remains at 8.6?
