Frage von XH-A1:it is possible to connect the Canon XH A1 an external hard drive to record on tape and hard drive simultaneously?
Antwort von Axel:
Sure. Such solutions (Fire doors, etc.) but they are not cheap and does not support mW 25f, which you hopefully mostly used. A laptop via firewire would be cheaper and, second, first, of course, synonymous use for other purposes. With appropriate software, you also get a live preview (with 2-3 seconds delay, On Location, Canon Console - here synonymous with complete remote control, with oe delay limited usefulness, Final Cut Pro), Histogram, etc., and immediately followed by a well-resolution control option. On-set capture (person) is recommended, however.

So I can not agree as to the XL2 any old firewire hard drive. You can join them, but so they will know what to do? Please go in to explain in more detail how did you do this with the XL2, your trick. Whether DV or HDV should then be ultimately no preference.
Antwort von XH-A1:
I've only read that it will work out in the XL2. It was here at Slashcam. And on the Canon Page stands synonymous.
How this is supposed to work, I do not know.

Even with the XL2 is not so. Only with Fire doors.
