Hi folks!
Have the following problem:
Had until 5 years of running Hi8 camera in the meantime def. is.
As yet there have accumulated some tapes that I do not want to miss, I now have the problem too digitize, or play them all!,
A friend of me has SonyDCR-TRV255E which I borrowed the tapes, however, seems not to be able to read. (No display in the camera display, and nothing in the dub with USB!)
Gibts a chance to come with this combination s.meine videos, odwer do I contact s.einen service!?

Unfortunately've just seen myself on the SonyHP the Hi8/Video8 with this camera is not supported!
But perhaps there other ideas!

then the older models via Firewire, but your cam can not read analog tapes.
SonyTRV 255 An analog / digital converter (Canopus ADVC 55) would be good, but if any old 8 mm camera to play more because nothing brings synonymous.

Hi Willi,
from the current series of Digital8 camcorders can play back only the-TRV480 analog Video8 and Hi8 recordings. This is certainly cheaper than buying a new Hi8 camcorder, together with a serious A / D converter, especially as synonymous with one D8 camcorders can shoot still digital. ;-)

Camcorder can not play the Video8 synonymous Or perhaps time Mark asked what price he causes you. For this I need the number of boxes, the (approximate) duration of the recordings located thereon, and the desired format / medium. ;-)

I have in the meantime my e tapes to a service providers (sent-bay) in Germany, ¬ 6 tape / tapes for 9 is OK (I think)
