Infoseite // iDVD: DVD does not recognize

Frage von julell:

I have two videos (DV Pal, 3:4, each about 55 minutes in length) from Final Cut Express HD is exported (about 24 GB of both together), then in iDVD with "professional quality" and encoded on a DVD Platinum R. It runs smoothly on my calculator (integrated Mac, and VLC), but the living room player (Yakumo DVD Master XS) recognizes they are not.

The Merwürdige: Before I had ever tested for a part of the project is burned - and that he could read without any problems.
What was different: the project was only half the size, the blank was also Platinum but DVD + R, the encoding setting was "High Quality", and the video mode was - why always synonymous? - NTSC (all of the camera over the Brenner to FCE and players are of course in PAL, I do not know why the factory is set to NTSC, they've converted at the second burn).

The reason being that the DVD in the second case is not recognized?
What do I need to change so that's working? Other / more expensive blanks? Using DVD + R? Reduce the amount of data? Other encoding settings ?...?

Wär super if someone because his experience would share with me, because the whole procedure lasts only so * every * 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. hours ...

PS Even before the quality is important to me that the DVD is as easy on all standard PCs and living room players started! it is about material for ne-therapist training and the participants are certainly not all on the latest technology.

Thank you in advance for your help

Thank you for your accurate description of the facts, as we read is not always here ... :)

"Unfortunately," sounds synonymous everything quite well, it should be called, I can not make mistakes in the approach to discover!
100% compatible with self-DVDs can be, unfortunately, despite everything, can not be guaranteed, there's always player / disc / software combinations that do not work (or not function properly, for example, with jumps in the film).

Meanwhile, to + R and-R media equally compatible, but I prefer anyway-R, so synonymous have better experiences.

Try it again with high quality. Perhaps in the "professional quality" bit rate too high (too close s.Maximum), which some players do not like.
How is the sound encoded?
Strictly, only PCM sound (48 kHz) DVD standard, almost all players but synonymous accept MPEG-sound ...
That it s.der data set is, I can not imagine ... (if the DVD is not "überbrannt is! How many GBS are because drauf? I hope there is no double-layer disc, which are possibly less compatible ...)

But please enjoy it :-)

Sounds plausible. I had chosen a professional quality because the iDVD manual says that it is for large amount of data and up to 2 hours s.besten. So again ... dat Janze

Er. How do I find out in iDVD? I think because there are no separate audio settings. The Final Cut, it is as a Quicktime movie for DVD export, I think that is the default 48kHz. iDVD encoded in mpeg2 video basically.

Is not SL-DVD (4.2 GB) with 4.16 GB on it now, that is already hard s.Limit.

You can download the Toncodierung not set in iDVD, iDVD encodes the sound as always PCM.
