hello, who has experience with Edius on his mac, kollege hammer, a part of Apple for over 3000 euro bought, then all his pc adobe programs installed, except it has mac os xp on it as synonymous OS. Now, the thing is super fast, 8 fach octocore processor or similar, and he always lets just all programs running side by side, so synonymous really serious, encoded with adobe NEN film, while working with photoshop, answered his mail, corrects title with word .

There are umpteen ways you as a PC together. Or you buy your Mac, where you do not need to configure.

In parallel with multiple programs without speed losses have is not difficult. Take a quad-processor and four of non-optimized multithreaded programs. Then get each program, a Core and already runs like greased.
But this is a very stupid way, especially since many programs so slowly several cores to work use. Let eg x264 to encode a video. The encoder uses all four cores completely out - there is no more air to be great to be able to work in parallel. Except of course it goes into the task manager and set the priority of the program on low.

Personally, I hate it to screw around.
