Frage von zero:Hello!
I use windowsxp2. For a week, it is no longer possible, a
mpeg2-file to encode. After about 3.2 GB of files encoded, switch off the PC. With a smaller file, which gives it a DVD mpeg file of 80 MB, it still works.
With mpeg1 (VCD), it is still operating.
I have checked the codecs again, synonymous installed additionally
(xp codec pack). On the hard drive is synonymous sufficient Patz.
You may be a file system of windows (broken mpeg2 muxer)?
What could the sudden shutdown of the PC's are just?
For a reference I would be grateful.

You have probably set something wrong somewhere.
But do not ask where you were before you tell what software you use and how you set it.

I wrote the whole weekend, and unfortunately nothing has been achieved.
The Pc turns still operated at about 2-3 GB of (such as the power button). I use Nero ( "Create your own DVD-Video"), the MainConcept ... TmpgEnc and gelegtl. EoVideo. Unfortunately I do not know what it ... with the mpeg2 demuxer? has under windows to itself - or was involved only pre-mpeg1 (?) At least I have installed the XingMpegEncoder probably destroyed around the filter to replace ...
It may be a problem synonymous with the caching of temporary files ...(?) Well, before I have to uninstall the entire operating system, I will probably need to experiment more next.

I had the same problem, everything was just not a mpeg-rendering. The solution was straightforward: mainboard fan failed. The PC was simply too hot and tore the hooves. Simply check the CPU temperature times.

Thanks for the reply which I read just yesterday and gave me the correct path. In the meantime, I had already formatted my hard drive and the operating system and other Programs re-installed, but turned with the same result - after about 2-3GB, the PC is off. With the program SpeedFan I could find that the temperature during rendering still did not rise above 50C. A while ago I called in Fujits-Simens Center, and can call find that under
"Energy was listed options" the scheme: "AMD Cool 'n' Quiet".
Now is the scheme of "continuous" set, and the mpeg2 rendering works perfectly again ;-) Thanks again for the temperature-energy-Tip!
