Keep your resolution to consistently increasing. The only thing worthwhile (because it is absolutely unnecessary), the Runterskalieren of videos (ie HD 1920x1080> 720x576 etc.).
Upscaling is only in very rare cases, meaning, as when one has a beamer with a higher native Resolutionals the original video and poor internal Skalieralgorithmus.
