Hi!
I am currently in search of a solution to a number of cameras (mini dv) to the computer record.
I thought to myself whether it would go several video cards, and there are video cards which are intended for surveillance with multiple inputs, ie a video signal.
or else several Firewire inputs.
Now it's the questions whether it works or whether there is such a software exists. s.tollsten course it would be if it is then synonymous cut could still live, so that one has a rough version, which you can then possibly synonymous on TV / beamer could spend.
who perhaps has an idea, thanks!

There is such a record of software SUH-EDV in Oldenburg. There are (now) a Firewire synonymous software mixer. Both my program but are not simultaneously available on a PC.
If you do a synchronous multi-camera recording, then you can without any great problems with a multicam-capable editing program (Adobe Premiere or Liquid Edition Aviv) with the cut to go.
A colleague in Liquid Forum Forum has reported us is satisfied.
Unfortunately, I do not know whether it is possible without great expense a Firewire signal lines. FDalls yes, yes you could with two parallel PCs. One for the recording, one for the cut ...
