Frage von Joachim Kraus:Hello,
I will soon me above camcorder and would
advance a few general questions. Would be nice if your one or
others could answer.
1. What is not so obvious difference there is between the
Series of GS11 GS15 compared to the newer GS22 GS33 GS55?
Clearly the different zoom levels, the housing and the weight,
and the video light? But what advantages does the new generation
(GS22. ..) compared to the elderly?
2. The camcorder has a webcam function, the funtioniert (via USB)
Apple on a calculator?
3. Can I connect the camcorder using iMovie, FCE, and Final Cut Pro
address / control?
4. I got it in Media Markt something tested, it came to me so
as if before the red T-shirts of the seller were very gaudy. Also
it bothered me a little, the neon light strongly in the foreground
presented. Can I use these coloring with the above software (easy)
iron out or is that with great effort (or perhaps
not at all in iMovie, for example)?
5. I've loaned me a camcorder and a ca 10 minutes
long movie cut of the compress to mpeg2 dv I
but then stopped after 2 hours. Is it normal that a G3 800
iBook for quite long and something needs to factor in what is a G5
iMac G5 or a Dual Powermac faster?
6. So it looks like I can with my G3 not use iDVD, which
(simple) alternatives I have to play DVD's (with chapters, menus, and so)
to create?
Thank you for your tips.
Greetings!
Joachim

Basically, all DV camcorder with the above programs
work.

iMovie only has fairly limited opportunities for
Color correction in Final Cut Pro or the FCE should be much more powerful but
fail.

This is normal, since converting to MPEG2 very computationally intensive.
In G5 should be significantly faster, numbers, I can not for lack of
Experience does not mention.

So on the specific models I can say nothing, but at the
older Model DS28: Meanwhile (just under 4 years of operation) extremes
Volume mechanics and / or video head problems: The device detects bands
not reported because the empty tray drive the tape is not (right?)
einfädelt, constant interruptions in the recording. There may be an isolated case
, but my next device will not be of Panasonic.

It works with all standard and now available
Mini-DV devices via Firewire (i.Link) have.

In automatic mode or with manual white balance?

iMovie is not Final Cut is very good. Whether * you * come leichtfällt
synonymous to your educational background to (knowledge of contexts in the color)
and your understanding of the controls.

The difference between a Formula 1 racing cars and a tractor is
you know? If yes, why do you want to compete
approved?
Of course, a G5 Dual extremely quickly: Bus is 8-10 times as fast
RAM is faster, disk is faster, ProZ (s) are x times as fast
(synonymous for better instruction), motherboard is faster.
If you really need concrete figures is nothing about a real -
Time Test: Send me your file and the parameters that I can show you them
on a G5 2 * 2 with FCE can convert.
For your 6th Question I can not say.

A GS50 worked here in the test problem on a PowerBook G4
1GHz.

IIRC, the conversion of DV 10min in mpeg2 with ffmpegX and above
PowerBook lasted approximately 50min, ie 1:5.
