Have lately more and more problems with my DVD player. Purchased it plays DVD's without starting. Only of my self-created films, which burned with Nero 6.6 were, he plays only partially or not at all.
Who knows what the reason may be. On the PC I can watch DVD's.
Can the DVD player to be dirty? Compatibility problems? with the DVD's but all times were playable on this device.
Your input would be very grateful.

The first and last attempt is a cleaning DVD. This helps in 90% of all cases.
Unfortunately, there is also a wear of the laser diode. If the device has been used so often and produced more than two years, worth a repair only to an absolute high-end device. Tests that will increase the error rate due to reduction in the diode performance to such an extent that after 1000 operating hours 1200 ¬ Marantz already has so much internal correct that a new ¬ 30 Zomtek no worse Picture returns. Look So DVD player rather than consumables.

What the Kompaitibilitätsfrage can be excluded. Excludes probably not when the brightness of the laser decreases makes the first well in the "bad" DVDs noticeable and switching to a "better" can possibly make the "reading" of the laser to compensate.
But you're right, remedy by cleaning or repair are more likely.
