Frage von peterdermeter:Hello
is a powerbook g4 1.6 GHz and 1 GB of RAM for HDV or DV editing?
thank you very much
Antwort von PowerMac:
Low-none. HDV is too strenuous. DV and SD is generally loose. For HD there should be a medium MacBook (Pro) to.
Antwort von nano:
Your Powerbook is enough for HDV.
What cutting until you? iMovie, Final Cut Express or Final Cut Pro?
More is always better, but a 1GHz and 1GB is sufficient for HDV.

More is always better, but a 1GHz and 1GB is sufficient for HDV. And 1.6 GHz and 1 GB are still insufficient, if one wants to work somewhat sensibly. Try holding out.

And 1.6 GHz and 1 GB are still insufficient, if one wants to work somewhat sensibly. Try holding out. I said yes, that it is better to slightly more under the hood to have. But for DV and HDV editing, it is sufficient! We know so synonymous is still not what and how it is cut.

I would not do it to me. Just the stupid GOP s.Schluss calculation takes hours. If necessarily)
s.dann bucking inevitably Viewer and Canvas
b) then takes the GOP forever calculation
c) no effects, color correction, graphics, Titling, credits
d) Play of HD (eg, final version in Quicktime Player for demonstration) is always Jerkiness

Have been synonymous with my old iMac 800 HDV editing. Was not sooo fast as my 2.16 GHz Core 2 Duo, but not synonymous soooo slow as you write here.
