Hello,
I want to buy me in the coming weeks, an HD camcorder. After reading many comparisons and tests I had actually been set on the Canon HF100. But now I realized that there is little that is new and if so, for about 650 euros. Therefore, for me again and now the HF200, the HG20 interesting. The HF200 is available for just under 550 euros, the HG20 is even cheaper to get something.
If I have understood correctly, it is better for the HF200 Wide Angleund zoom, the HG20, however, is because of the built-chip, the lowlight performance better. Of course, one of the main differences the hard drive in HG20.
Why does the HG20 it intersects with the test here from bad? I can especially to the values of HF100 ago garnicht find so many differences.
Would be very grateful if they give me tips and one recommendation could give.

I would still take the HF100 synonymous when it is already over. I recently myself for the HF10 and decidedly not regret it.

Of course I would take the HG20. The HG20 is different, especially in this score is the HF100:
- Newer firmware
- 24Mbit / s recording,

The HDD itself was for me a NoGo. I wanted no more moving parts. And not for nothing that there are problems with the HDD in concert recordings, although they may be off but it seems to me the whole quite stable not to be. And whether the 24Mb / s as opposed to the 17 Mb / s synonymous show visibly more synonymous quality I'm not sure. Add to that the size, I had the HG never in his hand but the HF10 has since been very handy.
What would bother me s.der synonymous HF100 is the fact that one can really only record to SDHC cards and has no int memory available.
Something like the last holiday I lose data because of a defect map, happened to me no longer defined. I now draw always first to int on every day and secure it over to the SD Card.

Sure - everyone has different preferences and I respect your decision. Currently speaking, in my opinion, the very best for a purchase price of the HG20. The HG20 allows copying of hard drive to SD card. For me, 60GB of internal memory are more available than 16GB - but this is a matter of taste. We have a lot of HG20 and as has occurred with None so far been a hard disk crash.

That with the hard drive is a matter of taste, of course, synonymous. Since I'm not quite sure synonymous. Get me the watch models in any case, synonymous again in the store, since they are synonymous of the dimensions and the weight are different here. If yes synonymous are well in hand.
To HF200 None here would give me advise? Is really significantly worse than the HF100. After all, she has done better here in the test a bit and is a total of about 100 euros cheaper than HF100.
