First you have to consider whether you want an HD or a standard resolution with. The latter cost a lot less in advance, or for the money you known then even the top model in the consumer field. - Remember that Memory Sticks (again an exclusive course of Sony) may be more expensive than SD memory cards (such as the Canon HF10, also synonymous with internal memory)
- And that it could be that your laptop for AVCHD editing is not enough (he is strong, but can AVCHD's hardly strong enough ...)

Now I have a couple files in the AVCHD format and loaded it getesten FAST and it works flawlessly. Are just a few frames missing but you can still look smooth!

AVCHD editing is no problem, it's just not funny (just like with SD material). This is true in general but for HD material that I had ever synonymous test compared AVCHD with HDV, HDV is only minimally better.
What many seem to forget: You can have the material but synonymous advance to another, even more exiting resource format, then klappts synonymous with the cutting the better.
