Hello,
I've seen videos on Youtube, which are actually only stored images with Music, with a couple of transition effects and some fine running texts. Unfortunately I have only Windows 98SE. Is there any freeware or shareware to create such videos?
I've heard of Movie Maker, but is supposed to appear only with XP. So as I said, I will use no camcorder, but only as a sort of animated slideshow with music and lyrics run ... and then save them as MPG or AVI so you can upload it on Youtube.

Sure, there are there, and basically what you can handle because what tinkering.
The first stop for freeware / shareware is the multimedia division of any software, such as Tucows Archives etc.
BUT ... I would go another way and I simply a professional tool from the Windows 98SE time to buy cheap second-hand.

Have unfortunately not yet found a share or freeware that can create scrolling text ... If I now buy a new computer with Win XP: Movie Maker, at least, this can create scrolling text (eg for the closing credits)?
