I've always due to my hard drive full of expectant decided me a new external disk to buy, what I am for the exclusive use DV editing! Now I would like to know if I have special things to look out for?
Covered so s.eine minimal size of 150-200GB, available on your recommendations?

I use Trekstor 400GB (because there are Samsung panels), MYín impression is that you enjoy with caution, because you are relatively warm. Otherwise, I am satisfied, but only doing backup - not a continuous operation.

then I will most of my internal rüberschieben other things must and internal cut! Why so pessimistic? DV Editing is easy with a plate, via USB 2.0. Since you have to have several tracks in real time to administer s.die performance limits to come.
From my own experience would I use a Samsung panel recommended (runs quietly, is not too warm) and transform it into a fanless aluminum housing fit (because the heat over the outside of aluminum). The housings are incl PSU on eBay, and some providers even offer complete with plate:

The current panel have now almost all of 7200 rpm. Nevertheless, they are very different loud or quiet. The old rule that disks with 5400 RPM were quieter, is long gone.
