Hello!
I have a wmv video with SDP Downloader successfully downloaded and saved, but I can not play the file or edit it. The film is about 5h long and has a size of about 1.8 gigabytes, which is probably the problem. For this reason I wanted to file with the corresponding programs (Virtual Dub, SPOIK, Total Video Converter) into a compressed AVI file, convert it works out, first because of the Virtual Dub Lizenssache not happen and secondly for the other programs, nothing, just a " hourglass. " Then I thought perhaps the file could be broken (download as a "completed" reported, but there were only 99% indicated). I tried until now www.repairvideo.com and Videofix, but both produce only 6kb large files, if they do not hang up. What can I do? Hi,
the size of the file is for playing on Windows no problem, no more than on a DVD player, but probably can not begin with WMV.
Since the file will probably be over. Remedy: download again. Many download managers load of different sources at the same time and place after the receipt of the last pieces together. Your download is probably not come as far as, synonymous the last particle zusammenzufriemeln. It takes a few seconds, in which seemingly nischt happens, so be patient with the next attempt.

Thanks Andreas for the advice, have the same Page of a smaller file downloaded, and the same problem BUT: if I want to play the file nothing happens (Media Player Classic), only if I have a few seconds / minutes jump forward (on the bar), he plays the file from. Why? The smaller file is 82 MB in size, which creates my computer with 512MB of RAM probably more, but at the 1.8 gigabyte file it fails. Have now tried ASFTools 3.1 with this little file as a trial run for the Great into small pieces to be cut: ASF apparently hangs on. Do I need more memory?
On the file itself: it is a stream of a match, the download is carried out directly of the University side in the U.S., thus the possibility of errors through various sources probably dispelled. At the end of the finished download with SDP can I get even a protocol that is as synonymous "Download completed" ...
If the file is downloaded only as can be - but it runs in direct Stream - where I could have leveraged?
