have a few xvid TV recordings obtained. They want partout but not with 6.2 DIVX (including XVID run 1.1 and 2.1). After opening one of these files, the player will hang and nothing more happened. Even with the Media Player gehts nicht, who joins simply by opening the file.
Have a Shuttle PC with Windows XP (without SP). normal divx, mpegs and avis run smoothly. Who has time for an idea what's wrong?

First time testing the files with Gspot, whether it is really Xvid. Could it be that Divx is responsible for all files FourCC feel? Look at there times in the decoder and change the appropriate settings to only DivX. But you can sample means synonymous times the Xvid decoder can be queue jumping: open Start-> Programs-> Xvid> Configure decoder and crosses everything under FourCC.

If Windows is unfortunately almost never anything excludable! Mach mal in Gspot (version 2501 SS01, where download!) The following: Options-> Settings-> check in front of the Expert mode, check in front of Enable interaction with codecs, Dannacher with Ok next. Then look below under "Proposed codec solutions and tests", "MS A / V". Including 1 at the box click zuerstmal. Now you see with what DirectShow filters, the video is playing. If you then press on box 2, to preview the video should be seen. In box 1 should display as follows (for the vVdeostream):
(Scr )->>( A) -> [avi splitter]> - (B) -> [ffdshow mpeg-4 video decoder]> - (C) -> [video render]
If in the line direct show filter (missing here) ffdshow, you should install here. (http://www.codecs.com/FFDShow_download.htm)
